For NYC residents of color, the NYPD’s practice of “stop and frisk” is an ugly reality.  It puts unnecessary pressure on many innocent civilians under the disguise of “probable cause”.  Mos Def realizes the power of his voice and his responsibility to speak out against injustice and spread awareness.  Peep the video.

Didn’t think we would actually get a video for this song, but here we are. *Spoiler alert*..there’s a soundbite from Malcolm X that coincides with his death today. The video was directed by Yasiin Bey & Set Free, edited by Andre Cole and “produced by Yasiin Bey, Set Free and Andre Cole for Fellowship Mission”.
