An Evening with Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Garcia (Video)

As a kid who grew up in the 90’s, every hip hop fiend knew what they were doing Thursdays from 1-5am. The legendary duo of Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Garcia (which in my opinion was the greatest hip hop show ever) sat down with Sacha Jenkins at the New Museum on February 22nd where they discussed the atmosphere of NYC in 1993 from a hip hop perspective. Enjoy the jokes, history and nostalgia.

KRS One – Disaster Kit (Video)

The teacher dropped the most essential knowledge that’s relevant to everybody. As the description of the video says:

“This is an opportunity to show the world what Hip Hop is capable of. Obviously this project isn’t about raising money or making money. This is purely about knowledge and survival; I truly hope the world benefits from these words. By memorizing the lyrics of this song, you at least prepare yourself with a mental checklist against natural and man-made disasters.” KRS-ONE….

I hope the readers and their families made it out ok during the hurricane.
